World Environment Day - Special Grama Sabha

A special Grama Sabha was organized on the occasion of World Environment Day.
As part of the World Environment Day celebrations, a special Gram Sabha was organized by the Pulinkunnu Grama Panchayat. A detailed discussion was held in the Gram Sabha on environmental protection, water resource management, waste management, green development, and local actions to combat climate change..
Grama Panchayat President Mr. Joseph Varghese (Ouseppachan Vempadanthara) inaugurated the meeting. The meeting, chaired by the Vice President, was attended by public representatives, officials, Harithakarma Sena members, Kudumbashree workers, students and the general public. Various suggestions and opinions were raised in the Grama Sabha to increase public participation in environmental protection activities and to make the Panchayat more green-friendly.
Awareness and pledges were made as part of the Gram Sabha on issues such as planting trees, reducing plastic use, conserving water, and strengthening sanitation activities.
The program concluded by upholding the message that environmental protection is the responsibility of every citizen. 🌿🌍
