Pulincunnoo Grama Panchayat, located in Kuttanadu taluk of Alappuzha district, is located in the heart of Kuttanadu, one of the most important wetland ecosystems in Kerala. This area is rich in water bodies, paddy fields, backwaters, canals, islets and diverse flora and fauna, and is a remarkable biodiversity heritage.
The People's Biodiversity Register (PBR) is an official document prepared to preserve the natural resources and traditional knowledge of Pulinkunnu for future generations. This register is prepared by the Biodiversity Management Committee (BMC) of the local self-government bodies as part of the Biodiversity Act, 2002.
