👶Anganwadis / Integrated Child Development Services Scheme (ICDS)
Project objectives
The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) is a joint central-state scheme implemented to improve the health and nutritional status of infants, pregnant and lactating mothers and ensure the holistic development of children. The main objectives of the ICDS scheme are to ensure the physical, mental and social development of children below the age of six, reduce malnutrition, improve maternal and child health care, and provide basic pre-school education.
