About the Project
The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) is a rights-based scheme implemented to ensure employment and improve the living standards of families in rural areas. Along with employment generation, the main objectives of the scheme are conservation of natural resources, water conservation, and development of rural infrastructure.

? Who can register for the scheme?
All adults interested in working in rural areas can register.
? How to get a job card?
If you submit an application to the Gram Panchayat, you will get a job card after verification.
? What to do if you do not get a job?
If you do not get a job within 15 days, you are legally entitled to unemployment benefits.
